Don paying tribute to old friend JimEdNorman

He starts out talking about Kenny Rogers and says 'so I could go make records with this guy... the Eagles. Did he not want to say Glenn's name? I thought that part was odd, but it was nice to see him smile and tell stories about the past. There are also some performances by Don.

I can relate. After someone dies, certain things seem to act as a trigger that makes you choke on word. I remember being asked for my mother's maiden name as a security check and finding myself unable to speak.

Thanks for that insight because my first reaction was a negative one - like when he goes forward, he's going to use 'Eagles' anytime he talks about the past instead of talking about Glenn. I think I'm still pissed off he used the word 'dysfunctional' in the first sentence of his tribute to Glenn and my subconscious is colored by that.

He managed to say "Glenn" later on in his speech.

He was in the middle of thanking Kenny Rogers and giving a tribute to Jim Ed Norman and it seems like he realised that he didn't want to derail that by talking about Glenn. He sounded quite emotional to me.

I got that too, but it was odd he didn't just go ahead and say "Glenn" because it was so obvious that is what he was saying and I don't think it would have derailed his speech about Kenny or JimEd if he mentioned Glenn in the way he was going to.
