What's the point?

I just watched the trailer and all I see is a trying hard movie. I do not see any deep goal as to what each character is trying to do. I wont bother watching this.

Your not missing anything, I kinda wish I didn't watch it.

Definitely felt like my explanation really just turned into a spoiler.

It's about a father sending his son on a quest that will, unbeknownst to him, help him grow into the leader he needs to be to lead the Viking army

I watched an hour before turning it off.

It felt like I was watching someone else play a video game composed of fighting levels strung together by the occasional dialog cut-scene. "Oh, look, this level has a woman being stoned. Guess I'm supposed to kill the bad guys. Oh, what the heck, let's just kill everybody for the points."

I made it 45 minutes into it. Not even worth finishing. I couldn't care less about any of these people, or the lame way they curse as if they were in some modern-day pub.

I did the exact same thing. I rented this from Red Box - the cover art certainly pulled me in, and I was taken with the History Channel's series, Vikings.

So much for that... I couldn't stomach any more after that point. Horrible cinematography, really bad acting, there was absolutely no character building and the story was flat.

I certainly wish I could unsee what I saw.

Cinematography really was the only thing I liked. Costumes, production design and the story was god awful.

'You spilled my pint, now I'm going to rape and pillage and murder everybody and everything in your village' :D

I really liked the dialogues. They were like "rrraaaaawwwwwwrgghhh". It helped me to discover the hidden meaning of this movie. (i.e. people didn't speak at all at that time...)

That scene was a time filler and made absolutely no sense. So the main character would risk his life and the lives of his countrymen when they are on a quest that determines the survival of their people? Ok well that shows he is noble.

Then he just looks on dispassionately while his guy punches her a couple times then axes her. Oh well, just Grim being Grim. I scanned through the rest of the movie to see if it gets better than that. It didn't.

This film started off okay, then it just gradually gets worse and worse. The end section in the cave is just ridiculous, wtf?, he finally finds his brother and he's a nutjob cannibal living in a cave with his mum lol
