'Realism' ?
A lot of the 'UK' (as it was later known) would have more forestry cover 500 years ago; this thing, shot in Wales sheep-country to save costs, misrepresents why the Vikings would even bother to go to there. They wanted treasure, women, commodities, and probably timber! Would not be slogging around barren hillsides. Staying close to the coast, near resources, and seafood -- now that's more like it!
