This movie was frikkin awful
Seriously,
I have to wonder if half the movie wasn't missing on the editing room floor. The plot was straightforward enough, but went jumped the shark so many times I'm not sure where to begin. I also have to wonder what half-wit they hired for the costuming department since they only got about half the accoutrements right. Seriously, Steinar's men carried neither shield nor spear and none wore helmets. Of course, I loved the fact the 'farmers' at the start were armed with swords...but not spears or bows. All anyone would have needed to do is rain arrows or sling-stones on Steinar and they would have all been dead. And God save us, I'm getting severely sick of seeing dual longsword wielding characters. Its not cool, its retarded when your opponents have either ranged (bows/slings) or longer weapons (spear/axe).
The only decent props carried by the cast were Steinar's sword, which was looked like an actual Viking-style longsword of the era.
