More successful than the 80s show
The 80s show got 3 seasons and 55 episodes. This got 4 seasons and 70 episodes. A good run overall. Fin

shareYeah but to be fair, seasons 3 and 4 were only 13 episodes. They could have just mmade that a 26 ep Season 3 instead of stretching it out. But 15 episodes is a fair measure
shareThe original probably would have lasted longer if Linda hadn't chosen to leave but she was pregnant and she wanted the child and (as a feminist) she has a right to chose what she wants in her life and that meant leaving the show to have her child.
As for this show I am nearly done seeing all of season two and so far it met with my expectation which is a rape child of Smallville made by the unimaginative CW people. I have to use that cause even with KK in it is like her playing Lana Lang all over again only changed her name and she is a cop...sort of but not an awesome cop. The plot is just not at all what I hoped it would be, lines are mediocre and immature.

More succesful?? You wish!
This show is a mjor flop all over the world and only survived for so long because some idiot at the CW has a weak spot for this crap.
The ratings for this show are awful, whereas the 80's show was worldwide hit back then.
Nice try, it's harder for shows now to survive on tv than back when.

Oh complete bull! This show is just crap and only lasted 4 seasons because some CW chief had a weak spot for this mess.
The old BatB had to survive in a time when TV was dominated by male audiences. That BatB wasn't meant for a male audience, yet CBS pushed their producers to make it a more male oriented show. They were given a very hard time, since their audience was mainly female who were into the romance and couldn't care less about Vincent killing people every week.
Actually, she's kind of right, but there are two sides to it. The fact that there is a lot more competition now means shows have to survive better in a tank full of sharks so to speak, whereas in the past, where there was less channels and less to watch, and hence less competition, TV shows had more people per capita to stay with them in order to keep them afloat. It would be harder to get a show on the air and harder to get it off. So, it would really take a lot of people to stop watching for something else to tank it, whereas it wouldn't take so much for a show with much more competition. But, at the same time, it wouldn't take much nowadays to get a show on the air and keep it afloat for a while either as long as it had a loyal fan base even if it was small as long as the show was still making a profit. That is what you saw with BatB.

Thank you!!!! Honestly I don't think they have real creative writers on any of these shows, sorry to say this but actors are not the best either.
sharesorry to say this but actors are not the best either.
