BatB 1987 vs BatB 2012

Classics will always win, this 2012 series is more for laughs then anything else. I would like it if it had better lines and better plots and better castings.

I'd say both are overall pretty forgettable. Sure I enjoyed them, but I barely remember anything about the original series (despite watching it back when it originally aired)... and I'm sure 20 years from now I'll barely remember this version.

Compare to the 2012 show, the 80's one had episodes where they dealt with drug addicts, prostitution, domestic abuse, corruption, rape, child molestation, child murder.

The original has become a cult classic. It still has huge following all over the world. The US alone released 3 different DVD versions of the show, which only happens to more recent shows overall.
Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton are still remembered for their portrayals of Vincent and Catherine. I doubt such a thing will be in stor for Jay Ryan and Kristin Kreuk.
