Help Please: What Federal Law(s) Did The Green Arrow Break?

He’s a local vigilante. The FBI takes him into custody and announces, “It’s federal now.” Is Ollie a terrorist, a kidnapper, a Democrat? How is “this federal”? Then he goes straight to the hoosegow. No indictment, no trial, no due process. When did the FBI get both judge and jury powers? Really, I must be dumber than a box of rocks, because I don’t understand any of this. Now, I did miss the first two seasons. Did the Arrow assassinate the President and was tried in absentia?

There's a lot of federal crimes. And with all the stuff Oliver did, I'm sure he committed some. Assassination is a federal crime, and he assassinated a lot of powerful people in season 1.

But really, it's just a cheap explanation from clueless writers. They think the FBI can just say, "It's federal" and that's it.

As for Oliver already going to a supermax, my guess is in the shows universe they could hold an especially dangerous person in a maximum security prison. I mean they sent Slade and Boomerang to a secret prison. They didn't sentence Oliver yet, he's just being held there.

We largely agree that the writing on this show is terrible; and I don’t care what kind of dim witted precedents they have established, but thank you for your comments. I see no evidence AT ALL that Oliver Stone had committed a federal crime, and I conclude that this narrative is complete, concocted, convenience bullshit created by a braindead writing staff. As ever.

PS No real prison system in the US would put a law enforcement agent, whether official or vigilante, into GenPop. That’s a death sentence.

Maybe his international exploits caught up with him.

reply

Well wasn't he tried and found guilty of being the green arrow already then sentenced to probation (see probation on the way out) on what grounds can the retry him what happened to double jeopardy

reply

Crimes against humanity for his acting.

reply

RICO, maybe Ongoing Criminal Conspiracy?

reply

Now I'm not sure if I got that right.

He failed his city?
