What??? They are making a remake of Casablanca? Where did you hear that and who is going to star in it? I know they are making a new Mary Poppins movie and there were rumours about a remake of 'My Fair Lady' and 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' a few years ago but I think they might have been dropped. I didn't know about the remake of ET either and I wonder what happened to the sequel Drew Barrymore was working on? π

I couldn't find anything about a Casablanca remake. I hope it doesn't happen. I only watched it earlier this year and as evident by my signature, i loved it.
Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine.
Oh, it's not a remake. The original is being reshown in certain theaters nationwide.
Ooohh. Okay. You have told me you have gone to see some old movies that are being aired in movie theatres again like 'Singin' In the Rain' but I thought you meant they were making a remake. Speaking of old movies, are you going to see the new Mary Poppins movie? From what I have read it is going to be like a sequel to the original with new songs and I heard they were originally going to make multiple Mary Poppins movies based on the novels by P. L. Travers years ago but for some unknown reason they never went through. I don't know if it was 'cause Julie Andrews turned them down or P. L. Travers stopped them from going through 'cause I don't remember it being mentioned in the P. L. Travers movie but if this movie is successful they might follow through with that plan.

I know it was very difficult to get the right for 'Mary Poppins' as P.L. Travers was against a movie. I don't think she liked the movie and would have been reluctant to turn over the rights to any of her other works.
Luckily Mary Poppins is in the public domain, which allows Disney to do a sequel or Alan Moore having Mary fighting Harry Potter.

Wait...Marry Poppins had a fight with Harry Potter? Why? π Did one of them turn evil or did they just not get along with each other. It is good Marry Poppins is in the public domain now and I have heard a lot of good things about the upcoming Mary Poppins movie so far and Emily Blunt is going to be playing the character this time. I think it would be good if they could get Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke to make a cameo appearance. π _____________________________

Ahh. Thanks for letting me know about that. They do some different things in comic books and novels like that which you would never get to see on screen and I don't know if you have read the 'Hack/Slash' comic books yet but they have a number of famous Horror characters like Chucky, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Kreuger, Ash, Dr Herbert West, Victor Crowley, Dexter, The Wizard of Oz and even the Suicide Girls appear in them and it is going to be interesting to see what characters they can use in the TV show 'cause the creators of 'Supernatural' were blocked from using a number of famous Horror movie characters but Brad Douriff told a fan Chucky might make an appearance on the show 'cause he was a big part of some of the 'Hack/Slash' comic books.
I haven't heard much about the film but it should be good. It's Disney after all!
Yes. It should be. Disney usually don't disappoint and with all these live Action Disney movies coming up it is going to be interesting to see what Animated movies they make Live Action movies of. Are there any particular favourites you want to see?

Yeah I don't understand copyright much. Though I know comics licencing and film rights are two separate things. And can be a headache.
I'm looking forward to all the Disney remakes. But I'm really excited about next month's Beauty and the Beast and the Snow White remake. Snow White was announced in October, so it will be awhile before it comes out.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of my all time favorite movies and stories. I have a lot of Snow White merchandise, including three books on making the movie.
Yes. I have heard about 'Beauty and the Beast' and the ridiculous controversy over the Beast not being good looking enough and I think it will be a good movie but some people complain over the dumbest of things. I mean they are even complaining about Emma Watson not being attractive enough to play her and they just want some model turned actress to play her and don't care about acting ability. I am going to see 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' too and remember you telling me it was one of your favourite movies and I am interested in seeing if the Dwarfs are actually Dwarfs 'cause there were complaints over Rumpelstiltskin and the Dwarfs being played by taller actors in 'Once Upon A Time' and I think it would look odd not to have them played by actors who are the right size.
I hope it is more like the original Snow White this time and not made into a dark movie like 'Snow White and the Huntsmen' was 'cause my youngest niece didn't like that one.

Yeah there's a lot of complaining, but most of it is positive. Which is nice because it drowns out the haters. I think the Beast looks great and I think Emma is perfect in the role of Belle.
Yeah I am curious if they will use real little people or normal actors filmed to look smaller, as I The Lord of the Rings.
I doubt Disney will make this too dark. They're pretty good about being scary but not too scary and quick to cut to something light hearted before permanent emotional trauma sets in.
Yeah there's a lot of complaining, but most of it is positive.
Thankfully it is and is it just me who has noticed this or is there even more complaining now about movies than before? I mean I see complaints and hate directed at movies MONTHS before they are released and that was the case with 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman vs Superman' and a number of people were already saying they were the worst movies of all time long before they came out. ξ² I can understand people complaining about movies they don't like 'cause I think all of us have done that at some point but when the movies aren't even out like it isn't here with 'Beauty and the Beast' I find it ridiculous.
I support Disney's decision to cast Emma and think she could be a good choice for the role. I haven't seen many of her movies but I have heard good things about her from some of my friends and I don't think Belle needs to look like a model. As for the Dwarfs I think they should use real little people 'cause I have heard a lot of them are struggling to get roles lately 'cause the roles that were designed for them are being given to normal height actors and there are a number of famous dwarf actors who could be used for 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.' I think they should change their names though and have them keep the personalities but give them real names like Jeff, Bob and Karl 'cause in a live action those names would sound odd. π

Fans have always complained. The internet just makes it easier. People complained about Michael Keaton playing Batman, but quickly changed their minds when they saw the movie.
To me Emma is perfect as Belle, and the part doesn't need to be played by a model. I like the idea of real little people in Snow White. Though I would keep the silly names.
Fans have always complained. The internet just makes it easier. People complained about Michael Keaton playing Batman, but quickly changed their minds when they saw the movie.
Yes. I do remember the complaints about Michael Keaton when it was first announced he was going to play Batman and a lot of people were worried he was going to turn it into a Comedy movie and it wouldn't be the dark and serious Batman movie they were hoping for 'cause he was mostly known for his Comedy roles at the time. He wasn't very bulk and muscular like some of the other actors that have played the role either but I think he was good as Batman and 'Batman' and 'Batman Forever' are still my two favourite Batman movies. I would have liked to have seen what the original follow up to 'Batman Returns' would have been like and I heard it was going to have Dick Grayson debut as Robin and Harvey become Two Face but other than that not many details were revealed and there are more details online about 'Super Man Lives' and 'Spider-Man 4.'
Did you know Michael Keaton left the Batman series 'cause Tim Burton left? I have an anthology of the 4 Batman movies and they are all Special Editions with Bonus Features like interviews and they said they all thought Michael Keaton was on board when they were putting the movie together but he turned it down when Tim Burton decided not to do it. I also would have liked to have seen what the original Catwoman spinoff movie from 'Batman Returns' with Michelle Pfeiffer would have been like 'cause I think it would have HAD to be better than that horrible movie we got with Halle Berry that wasn't even Catwoman.

TV Into the Badlands: Nick Frost is joining and has a confirmed fight scene. The choreography and wire-fu style gave us more entertaining fights than any super hero show last year.
Iron Fist: Nothing to say. Obvious reasons.
Black Sails: When Game of Thrones started to suck. This became the best show on TV. Long John Silver is the third member of the triumvirate of flawless character growth and evolution with Lost's Jin and The Wire's Bubbles.
Star Wars Rebels: It's currently on but there's a whole lot of developments coming. The joining of the Rebel Cells into the Rebel Alliance with appearances from Mon Mothma and General Dodonna. Admiral Yularen on the Imperial side. The possible canonization of Darth Revan in the form of Tar Vizla. Maul's endgame. If they were given the rating Clone Wars had, they'd probably be better.
Taboo: Just caught the pilot and it's great. Tom Hardy is magnificent.
The Tick: I only saw one scene from the pilot but it was fun. Definitely excited especially if they parody the Trickster on Flash and bring back Ron Perlman or some of the other original cast.
The Man in the High Castle: Just finished season 2 and holy crap. If you only know Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung. He'll blow you away here. So subtle and emotional. A conflicted man in a terrible time. Joel de la Fuentes, Rufus Sewel and even DJ Qualls give great, compelling performances that make the slower stretches fascinating to watch. Already eagerly awaiting the next ten episodes.
Punisher had be but the castings and character descriptions haven't inspired much faith.
Movies Silence: Scorsese's dream project. Possibly the return of Schindler era Neeson.
Fences: I really dig the way the trailer made it look like a play. You can tell Denzel and Viola will be nominated at the Oscars. And that's good, because they were going to nominate a black performer (at least one.) whether they deserved it or not and I think both can walk into that event not having to worry if they're they're because they're big black names and not that they earned it. Because if they're as good as in the trailer, they earned it.)
Alien: Covenant: I'm excited for Danny McBride most of all. Never underestimate a dramatic role from a comedian because our most beloved actors started that way. After the *beep* hits the fan in that trailer he had two shots. Near breakdown, and handing someone a weapon.
Resident Evil The Final Chapter: The 15 year abortion is over. I can't wait for someone competent to reboot.
They all strive to deviate from the norm, but collectively swarm to be all the same.
How is that btw? I watched the pilot and though it was good but I kinda forgot about it.

The Tick. I watched the pilot for that also and it was pretty funny. Although another show I forgot about unfortunately.
High Castle is excellent! Seems to be under-rated though. Maybe because it's on Amazon and Netflix's fame is swamping everyone else.

The trailer makes the movie seem like crap imo. Although I agree with McBride, just look at Vaughn in True Detective and Jim Carry in the number 23 (I think?)
Resident Evil The Final Chapter: The 15 year abortion is over. I can't wait for someone competent to reboot.
Did you like any of them? I like all of them except for the first and the one which skipped the on-board ship battle scene (severely disappointed). Oh I should also mention that I barely played the game so theres that.
Do you mind if I have a piece of your thigh? It would complement this fine '76 Shiraz

Into the Badlands is fun. Not the greatest but it's shortcomings are outweighed by the epic choreography. It's got a nice little group of supporting and guest stars.
All of the Resident Evil movies are garbage. I've only played a few games, but I know the story's and developments. The only difference between these movies and direct to DVD movies is the budget.

Is this the Alien movie with Sigourney Weaver returning to play Ripley? I heard they were working on one not long ago and I don't know how they are going to bring her back 'cause I thought her character was killed off but Signorny is coming back to play the role. π

Just watched the first episode, watching the second tomorrow, it was amazing. Hardy is captivating. I'm glad the screen spared no time away from him. I can't wait to continue.

Wow!! I didn't know about that. I will have to look into it to see if it is going to air here in Australia on the Disney Channel. I think it will 'cause we usually get all the American Disney shows but we might not get it until a few months after it has aired in America. Thanks for letting me know cdull. I loved Tangled and have been hoping they would do a sequel but a TV series is great news. ξ₯
I wonder if we will ever get a 'Frozen' TV series.

Have you seen the short Tangled Ever After, set during Rapunzel's wedding? I love that and if you haven't seen it I think you will too.
No. I didn't. I had no idea they made all these extra things for 'Tangled' and are a little behind with them. π I will have to look into them and do you know if they made any extra things for 'Brave?' I would love to see a 'Brave' sequel and I remember there was talk about one a few years back but then it went quiet and I don't know what is happening with it now. I wouldn't say it is off the table though 'cause a lot of people had a sequel for 'Enchanted' written off and a decade after the first movie they are making one and Amy Adams is returning for it.π
Looks like they want Frozen to have a cinematic sequel, because I have heard about Frozen 2 but no TV show. But you never know.
'Frozen 2' is the movie I am looking forward to the most and I can't wait to hear all the new songs for it too and hope Idina sings even more this time. I think it is possible we could get a TV series of 'Frozen' like we had with 'The Little Mermaid' but I think if 'Frozen 2' is successful they might go for a third movie.

I have some wonderful news I found out about the 'Tangled' series. it is going to air here in Australia on the 'Disney Channel' on the same day it airs in America in March a few hours later so we won't have to see it like we have had to do with some other TV shows. π I have seen 'Frozen Fever' and the recent 'Lego Frozen: Northern Lights' special as you know and both of them aired on the 'Disney Channel' here not long after they aired in America. Our 'Disney Channel' have been fairly up to date with shows in America compared to what they were when we first got it on Foxtel. I would like to see them make more TV shows of movies and they used to have TV shows of dozens of Disney movies but they rarely do that anymore which I find kinda odd 'cause with the size of the fan bases for movies like 'Frozen' and 'Brave' I think they would be successful. π
The biggest problem with a 'Frozen' TV show might be the music though and I know there were some fans who were disappointed 'cause they didn't include any new songs in 'Lego Frozen: Northern Lights' and it took them a long time to come up with the songs for 'Frozen' so it is most likely the music part would have to be taken out of it. I also think they would have to change the voice actors 'cause it would be expensive to have Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell play the voices of Anna and Elsa in an animated TV series. I think 'Frozen' is going to be a huge successful like the first movie was though and I am really looking forward to seeing that and hearing all the new songs. I heard we might get some samples of the new songs before the movie comes out but there doesn't appear to be a definitive release date on it and some sites that were saying 2018 before are now saying 2019 and 2020.
'Brave' deserves a follow up. We need to be more vocal about it!! "We want Brave 2! We Want Brave 2!" π
