Which ending did you choose? (Obvious SPOILERS)

Which ending did you choose on your first playthrough?

- - - Spoilers!! - - -

I'm one of those people that chose Life, then Ryan. I disliked Ryan at first, but ended up forgiving him, then choosing to say "I love you" and all that crap. I guess he starting growing on me after I made him lose his eye. :P And after going through all of that, it seemed like the most logical choice to end up with Ryan.

I bought the game yesterday and beat it today, and still have yet to go back through and get all the endings and mess with the other character's lives and stuff. I guess I'll be doing that tomorrow since I have free time.

I did the same. I couldn't stand Ryan either, but after all that trouble he went through (losing an eye, saving Jodie's life more than once) more than made up for lying to her.

In my first playthrough I picked Ryan and now that I have watched all the endings I can confirm that was the best choice. The best ending of the lot for me.
Am I the only one who wish they would have taken out the all Apocalypse aspect to the endings ... It ruins things a bit for me...

reply

The life/Ryan ending was indeed the best choice for me, I just also wish that there was some way to prevent the apocalypse portion in the end, it didn't completely ruin the game for me I absolutely love it but it would have been great to have been given a choice in that section.

I found the Zoey ending the most heart-warming. Great to see how Jodie could have such a positive impact on the lives of the others.

Whilst I agree that Ryan did mostly redeem himself, he still lied to me and I didn't really buy the romance.

reply

Same he did a lot of things that redeemed himself. Hell the guy basically was willing to die for Jodie when he gave his belt/shield to her.

Believe in yourself and create your own destiny, don't fear failure.

reply

Life then the Zoey/living with the now no longer homeless people because as Jodie herself said they seemed to be the only people who accepted her for her, plus that way she could be a mentor to Zoey for whatever is to come (I do hope it gets a sequel someday)

I chose the Zoey ending. I had no idea what Jodie ever saw in Ryan and only knew the other guy for one chapter.

I think if you were Jodie you would pick life and then the Zoey or the guy in the desert. She wanted a new start with someone who new very little of her life. I think with Ryan he would have gone back to his own ways at some point in the future. I don't think he would have accepted Aidan and Aidan made it clear that he didn't like Ryan yet he did nothing to the other 2 characters which means he would have been more accepting of them.

I chose the ending with Zoey because they were the only ones who were unselfish I thought towards her 'gift.'

I chose Life and then Ryan, it was the best ending for me. Yes, he was a douche in the start but he proved that he truly cared about Jodie in the end and that he honestly loved her. It's the ideal ending in my opinion because they went through so much together and they understand each other deeply. Plus, Aiden comes back to her if you choose this ending. I highly disliked the Zoey ending, it made no sense. And Aiden is gone in this one, he's not shown coming back to Jodie. I've played the game 4 times, I've managed to get all the trophies, the "see all endings" included. I believe the Life > Ryan and Beyond with all characters dead are the best. When you choose Beyond and Ryan is dead too, there's a really moving scene of them holding each other while soldiers are checking their bodies so you know they are reunited in the afterlife.

The Zooey ending was the most tearjerker, so i guess that was the best for me. Next is the loner stuff.. :P You don't need to replay the entire game to see all 4 endings... just the last chapter..
