What a great movie

I just watched it, and it's the best movie I've seen in a long, long time. Just amazing.

It says on Wikipedia that Cliff Curtis gained close to 60 pounds to play the part of Genesis. That's dedication! And I'm guessing he had to loose it again pretty quickly since he had other roles shortly after, one of them in 'Last Knights' where he plays a fierce, sword-slinging warrior :) Great actor, by the way. I haven't really noticed him before.

And I read in the trivia section here that Wayne Hapi, who plays Mana's father Ariki had no previous acting experience before. He just replied to an add saying "seeking Maori Men aged 50-65yrs, tattoos and criminal records welcome!". Yet he got nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 New Zealand Film awards. That is pretty impressive, and I also think he did great job. All of them were good!

Anyway, watch this movie if you haven't already.
