Amazing and shocking.

I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm watching it right now and the truth about the murder surprised the heck outta me. Nice twist to this movie. Never would've expected that.

I knew who did it half way through the movie. I tap myself in the back when they revealed it.

Yeah, right.

It feels good to be lost in the right direction. 🌌

I don't want to spoil anything either. I thought the movie was very good and interesting. I just don't understand the reconciliation between Alice and George. She decided to reconcile with George after she and the pastor broke up. It's not like she left George for another man in the first place. She was tired of the abuse. She knew what her life would be like if they got back together. It seemed that she was prepared to be without a man when she kicked George out. Then when her and the pastor were over, she used the excuse she needed "to be loved" to take George back. She could have divorced him, taken half his money, and started over and found a decent man if she needed one so badly. I know women go back to abusive men all the time but in this movie it didn't make sense to me. (But if she didn't go back to him there would be no premise for the movie lol)

I think she went back to him because of the daughter, who had voiced her opinion earlier in the movie about how much she wanted them to get back together.

I'm afraid I had the killer figured out right away, so I continued to watch hoping to gain some insight into Alice's situation. That's where the movie fell apart. Alice came off as a simpleton, not a truly troubled, downtrodden, torn woman torn between faith and family and her own safety. Dancing around with her daughter and friend? She was acting deliriously happy just because her abusive husband was away? That's when she should have been soul searching. She deluded herself into thinking that her husband changed, just because she had.

When the Pastor dumped her she felt like she had no other way. Her heart was broken and in that nativity and grief she took him back. And because her daughter wanted her parents back together. She was a sad, troubled woman
