The daughter Kate looked old enough to be the mom's sister!

Oh, and that daughter sure seemed kind of calm after finding her mom dead...and shooting her dad!!!

Yes, totally agree with you. I just got done watching it and posted that I wish the mom hadn't died. THAT would have given the daughter more believable reason to kill the dad I think, so that he wouldn't ever be able to hurt the mom again. And yes, she was far too calm, like scary calm, and therefore hard to buy it, during that whole scene.
This said, I don't know if this was a true story or not. If so, obviously can't really change the facts. :)
The girl playing the daughter was only 22 in the movie and the actress playing the mother was 38...

shareKind of. Kate certainly acted more grown up than her mom. And yes. Kate was cold-blooded and unruffled at that point you mentioned.
