Does any one knows why Rob Schneider isn't in the movie?

He made a great part of the first grown ups.

I would like to know as well.

I heard it was due to conflicting schedules. Same with Norm MacDonald. Apparently Sandler films are fun for these guys but were booked elsewhere.

At least this is what my brain remembers from the Norm MacDonald Podcast on youtube. Adam was a guest then Spade the week after. Can't remember which episode they mention it.

"Apparently Sandler films are fun for these guys but were booked elsewhere."

That just tells us everything there is to know about this s###, doesn't it? these movies are FUN for the cast. they don't get together to make a GOOD movie, or even a MEDIOCRE movie. they go on vacation, with no script to speak of, and goof off. while getting paid millions and millions of dollars. rob shneider did NOT have anything better to do. that i promise you. there is no way he would turn down a multi-million dollar payday for any reason. they didn't cast him either because A) they had some ridiculous, childish fight, or B) NOBODY wanted to see rob schneider in anything, ever again.

my complaining about this commercial smash makes absolutely no difference to anything. nobody cares what i think, except for myself. adam sandler is an extremely powerful, incredibly wealthy man. he can do anything he wants, and im sitting here ripping on his latest hit. how sad...

The movie is meant for people to laugh. Its a COMEDY. I have seen classics like A Fish Called Wanda, Caddyshack, Trading Places, but I still have to admit this movie was very funny to me

reply

I'm laughing at the gags but *beep* this movie is objectively terrible.

Can't quite decide if it in the category of "So bad it's good" or just "so bad" ...

It was kinda funny.
when I watched this movie, I knew someone was missing, but I couldn't quite remember who.

He read the napkins doodles that were called the script and realized that as deeply as his career has sunk into the toilet he wasn't quite ready to actually flush it away.

So he did the smart thing and claimed that there was a scheduling conflict.

Schneider did not think the movie was up to his usual standards.

reply

He thought this was beneath even his low standards.

He DID have a great part in Grown Ups. His highly comedic presence was sorely missed this go-round. It nearly spoiled the movie for me at BEGINNING...but that was until Sandler's MUCH improved script really got up and going. It was so clever how they explained how Schneider was in the first one, but not in this one. It reminded me of other classic sequels, where my head hit the ground and kaBAM i dont know where i am anymore

I think he was filming his short lived TV show.

He was working on Deuce Biggalo 3.

With Nick Swardson being included, one more comedy hack would simply be an overload.

Rob wanted to do it, but his wife had a child in real life and so he cancelled all his work for awhile to be with her and the baby. Pretty sure I read that just about everywhere.

and then I pooped.
