Worst movie I have ever seen in my life... hands down.

I don't know where to begin... but I lost a lot of respect for Adam Sandler over the last few abortions he has starred in recently. This was just... so... so bad. I am trying really hard to think of a movie that upset me more than this but there is nothing coming to mind. My roommate turned this on despite my very clear warning/reminder of how terrible the first Grown Ups movie was.

Picture the uncomfortable conversations you have with that annoying co-worker where he/she has you trapped in the kitchen while you're grabbing coffee... they start telling you a "funny "story... but it's not even a little bit funny... and you have to listen until their terribly obnoxious story is over. Now imagine that conversation, only louder and more obnoxious, for two hours. That almost sums up this movie... almost.

There wasn't one part throughout the entire movie that made me laugh, or even smile... and the attempts were so poor, ridiculous, and elementary... that I honestly think Sandler and the director could be messing with the audience by making a movie that is truly this bad just to see what kind of reaction it gets. That would make more sense to me than releasing this movie with the expectation of positive reviews.

Now I just wasted another ten minutes of my life to warn the people on IMDB that it would be better to spend two hours staring at the wall than sit through Grown Ups 2.

1/10 stars

Couldn't agree more. There were literally no redeeming qualities about this movie or the first Grown Ups. Just awful, awful movies.

I'm a very neat monster.

reply

As opposed to having no redeeming qualities in some figurative sense of the phrase that someone would've interpreted had you not said "literally?"

reply

If I could "like" your post, I would.

"Ha, did he just call me a Luddite?"

reply

You are my hero for writing that post lol. I hate the misuse of literally almost as much as when people say "I could care less" when they clearly mean "I couldn't care less".

I didn't even so much as crack a smile during this film. There was nothing funny in this movie. I'm not even going to analyse what specifically I didn't like about it, it would be dignifying the ordeal. I hated all of it.

The only redeeming feature was that it made me more acutely aware that there are actually people walking among us that do enjoy this film, and that these people deserve a severe face-slapping.

And with respect I think you're being far too generous. I would give it zero out of ten stars.

reply

Slap me in the face for having a different opinion than you and I will punch you in yours.

I enjoyed this movie, it was simple, funny for the most part, and I didn't altogether care that much it didn't have an overall story arc.

"Ha, did he just call me a Luddite?"

reply

I would love to see someone like you try to punch anyone in the face. It's strange how I never encounter people like you in real life. I would probably be charged with manslaughter if I decided to hit you just once with my fist.

Don't get hurt kid. I'm not your daddy, I'll beat you senseless.

reply

His recent movies are so bad.lol it's like they're not even trying to make it funny anymore. They write a crappy script and hope that people will go see it because Adam sandler is in it.

reply

I'm surprised you were able to watch through the whole movie if it was that bad as you say. As for me, I totally agree, but I gave up watching the movie after 20 minutes. One bad joke can ruin a whole movie, but in just the first 20 minutes it had already shown serveral bad jokes, and I decided to stop watching.
Even though I don't have any hate for any of the comedians in this movie, and even though I found the first Grown Ups somewhat funny, I still gave up on the sequel. Everything in this movie is so random and has some of the worst characteristics in comedy.

reply

Agreed.

Very lazy jokes, I barely paid any attention while watching it with my stupid nephew....who maybe laughed 3 times.

reply

3 minutes into the movie me and my friends stood up, walked to the cashier, demanded our money back and walked home. We all agreed without speaking so much as a word that we would not waste our precious time with *beep* like this. The f.ing deer scene in the beginning was already enough for all of us.

Into ur hands i commend my spirit

These comments have me laughing my ass off. I didn't actually finish the movie but let it go entirely too long. I think part of me wanted to see if it could possibly get worse... and it sure did.

reply

i didnt mind little nicky! it at least had decent effects (for its time) and kind of an interesting storyline idea. It was pretty bad tho, just not on the level of the rest of the mentioned movies.

I have never seen thats my boy tho. I did watch the entire thing of jack and jill but i was also playing ps3 at the same time, so i didnt strictly watch it lol

reply

It was million times better than Grown ups 1? really?? Shame on you!

reply

Did you actually watch the movie? Heck at least, out of all the jokes, the inflatable scene in the store should have at least made you giggle. I simply do not believe that you even watched it.

P.s. You also mustn't have seen many films if this is your worst film! Kevin Sorbo films anyone... .

reply

So the OP didn't laugh at the stag near the end or the fight scene? ADMIT IT OP... You didn't even watch the film or are too young to appreciate it

I posted one month ago...

"I didn't actually finish the movie but let it go entirely too long."

Congratulations... but I did indeed watch most of this awful movie and that's the unfortunate truth.

reply

I agree with OP 100% I kept holding onto hope that the old Adam Sandler would return but I guess he doesn't know how to make a funny movie anymore!
