I just started watching so don't know the back stories, but are these people full time fishermen? 15 weeks of tuna 105k divided by 3 plus boat expenses doesn't add too much, do they fish for anything else, are they charters? Does anyone know or is there any where to find out? And what happened to the Sara Erin? they seemed to have just disappeared and I can't find anything on the net about them

The Sara Erin is out of Maine. I guess the competition is just for the Gloucester fishermen. The fishermen book charters. Also in a couple of months there will be new Wicked Tuna episodes with the boats heading down to the Outer Banks. And they also get some money from National Geo Channel for the show.

I would say the fishermen do pretty good for themselves.
