The plan of the husband

Even though he was good at his job he still was looking to bury the man by stealing his wife. I think the old man realized this and sent him packing. It was important in his last days that her focus was family. I wonder if he had gotten better would she had still betrayed him and i don't think she would have. I think he thought of this. The hiatus for Zeitz was twofold if he lived and gotten better her and Zeitz would be over as it came about he passed so his plan work perfectly because it was a devised for both of them.

I guess you didn't watch "A Promise." He knew he was going to die and purposely hand selected the man whom he felt was deserving of Charlotte. Friedrich was a hard worker and smart, someone who had never had anything and had grown to learn to work for what he wanted. He taught Friedrich the trade and devised ways to bring them together and exclude himself so that they could develop an attraction, but as he says on his deathbed, he grew jealous when he realized that her love for Friedrich was greater than hers had ever been for him.

The guy showed his true colors by trying to steal his wife, that and jealousy did him in. It was more than jealousy. Stealing his wife had nothing to do with the husbands plans of he being a good suitor for her. Yes he said he was jealous of him, but the couple also realized there was love between them. Let's be serious the puppy love she had for him was long gone. I thought they were mearly just keeping there word. That's why the reunion was anti climatic.
