Could have been amazing
The concept is great. I, for one, love the campiness of combining the two genres... but its weird what the writers chose to focus the film on. There was far too much time focused on the main character fooling around with the director (relevance?) and yet they sped through weeks of rehearsal in a montage! They should have been using that time to build the tension and prepare for the big finale instead of killing 5 characters in the span of 2 minutes.
I was just really looking forward to this movie for quite some time, and while some scenes were executed well (the opening scene with the daughter singing while her mother is murdered) the rest of the film seems to get muddled in regards to the focus.
Well thats my opinion anyways.
