Bland with a side of bland

Maybe I had too high hopes but this film just didn't do it for me... find out why here http://wp.me/P5v36W-6y

It was a pretty bad movie, boring as hell. I could write a movie as simple as this 1 and I certainly am no writer. Some good actors wasted their time in this bore fest. I knew it wasn't going to be very good by the reviews and such but I still gave it a shot. Bad decision.

Yes, bland -- and not because after watching "Would You Rather..." last night I checked out some Sasha Grey vids...

"Safelight" was predictable, the characters and situations too familiar and none too engaging.

Now, those Sasha Grey vids, while they too portrayed familiar routines, also had a few novelties -- the hook, for example, was unfamiliar -- and their frenetic athleticism operated at an energy level well above the tepid responses of the "Safelight" people. A disabled youngster doesn't report assaults to the police? Not even when the bullies break his treasured camera that represents both his passion and his deceased vet brother?!

Juno Temple's American speech was good enough, although she didn't have a lot to say.
