At least I have a new show to binge now.
I really enjoy the show and consider it ("Game of Thrones: Esso") a great show.
While the actual history portrayed is entirely debatable the attention to detail in weaponry, tactics and strategy is admirable. In contrast to a fantasy epic this is based on real characters and actual events. Now that the show has changed focus on Marco's site seeing trips to the internal politics of the Mongol and Chinese empire's I am hooked.
Kublai has built a massive empire and cleaned up the last of his hold outs he is coming to the conclusion that he must now rule. Dissent in the south, rebellion, disease and plague from the east will make the wait for season three very tough.

It's been so long since the 1st season that I forgot all the major details. During the first 2 episodes of season 2 I was confused and to be honest, not paying my full attention either. It just wasn't hooking me.
As soon as the chilling scene when Khan kills the child prince happened though, my attention was 100% back. I'm up to episode 5 now and loving it.
