Has there been an official announcement from the network on the renewal or cancellation of the program?
I cannot find anything about this yet. I hope it's coming back!

I think it was pretty obvious from the previous statements that they had no intention of renewing it and were just airing the remaining episodes they spent money producing (for whatever reasons) on LMN.

We can be glad they aired all 10 Episodes. And I have zero hopes there will be second season, not with that awful ratings.

I dunno, let's try to follow Chloe Sevigny more. She might retreat and have a baby. She probably just wanted to be on show. She submits to a higher power, while the rest of us are scratching like mice to make it in Hollywood. I've thought I mean lots of us would be okay actors compared to what's out there. They just want people who know their place, like retreating and not being good enough but not trying to say you are, just playing it cool. Lotta us were real cool once, in school, but then things happened, like the world revolving around that weirdo Johnny Depp.

I really liked the show. It's a shame but usually when a show gets cut after two episodes and gets aired out on a lesser network, it's not a good sign.

I still can't figure out if this show is officially cancelled or not. I watched the 1st season, but everything I read says A&E canned it, yet we all know it was picked up by LMN to at least finish out S1.
This is why the folks over at AMC are kicking butt and other tv execs are lost in the woods.
'Those Who Kill' was not a perfect show by any means but it had all the parts needed to make a great one. Solid cast, an intriguing backstory, a honest to goodness actual female lead. ( on Lifetime remember ) Not only the lead but, the part us not just a cutout it's an actualized a real character.
I loved the lighting and cinematography. Like 'Breaking Bad', 'The Killing', and 'Law and Order', TWK had great usage of the Pittsburgh area. Which bring up a flaw that was an easy fix. The city is not big enough geographically, or population wise to contain all these serial killers. Fine Detective Dirty Girl, is a state or county liaison in the precinct. Other flaws are all easy writing fixes.
Considering tv execs sit through god knows how many pilots, ( how many do they go into knowing it's awful?), They saw something in the show, why not trust yourself? And LMN given a golden egg that just needed to be polished... it's obvious some tv execs Aren't in the Empire Building Business. End of rant.
The CEO in charge of LIFETIME MOVIE NETWORK is, Nancy Dubuc... the same Nancy Dubuc in charge of A&E, the same Nancy Dubuc in charge of the channel she still has the nerve to call HISTORY. She is also in charge of H2, BIO, LIFETIME and MILITARY HISTORY.
If Ms Dubuc wanted THOSE WHO KILL to be a "HIT" series... it would be, it would have been hyped as a "HIT" right off the drawing Board like her other Super Hits, DUCK DIENASTY, NICE ROAD TRUCKERS, AX MEN, SWAMP SLIME, AMERICAN PRICKERS, YAWN STARS... and on and on.
It would have been renewed Season after Season to give it the illusion of success.. and it would have been a "HIT" regardless of which of her channels it was on.
The trouble with THOSE WHO KILL is that it does not have enough toothless inbreds in it...doing mundane things that most people could give a rats furry behind about... there aren't any animals being killed... plus it was taking air time away from DUCK DIENASTY and the 101st rerun of some brain frying episode.

I don't think I've ever seen a list of all truly awful tv shows like this before. To think one person is responsible for it is almost frightening. It's hard to believe one person was allowed to drag so many channels down. It can't be a bottom line thing because they still have to get clearances to film wherever, and " reality stars" are getting paid. Disgusting.
I was so hoping someone would give this series another run. I thought it was intriguing with good solid characters and actors skilled enough to handle them.
I thought it was much better than Bates Motel but that show got all the publicity.
Great post Ltr - those shows you so accurately renamed are the bottom of a fetid barrel of programming that we see now. These are hits and Those Who Kill cant get enough ratings to even stay on the A&E network. What a pathetic statement about the taste of the American public.
WTF. They finally have a show that's appropriate for these times, with great actors and they cancel! I am so sick of vampires, zombies and people with superhuman abilities. What BS.

Too bad, it doesn't look good for the show. But the trend now is to make cheap, unscripted reality crap. The kicker is, my cable bill just went up, so now they want me to pay for crappy shows I don't watch. Just got of the phone with customer service and canceled my cable but kept my internet. I can still watch the shows I want to watch on Netflix or Amazon and much cheaper also.
