Well...it's a video game? Since when does realism come into play? Especially with all that happens in the game.
I personally like it....having a female bad ass in a game. It is nice to break the stereotype of the muscle head hero what goes in guns a blazing. Video games isn't about realism...it's all about having fun with the bizarre characters and storylines. Like questioning logic in a game. :)
