I will miss it a great deal. Vera and Freddie , and the entire cast were outstanding.

The day of the finale was an all day binge-a-thon for me on the A&E network. I really enjoyed that. There was just something more gripping about watching the episodes back to back instead of waiting for a week between them.
I feel the same way. I can't even express how much I loved this show or those in it, especially Freddie and Vera. Although they really could have done without Rihanna (sp?).

shareI have never been a fan but that isn't even the point. I don't know why they thought she'd be a good choice, other than her liking the show! I like the show...why wasn't I cast?! Haha. That would have been cool if they let a fan have that part. Well, maybe, maybe not.
When it was all said and done, I don't think adding Marion to the story had any benefit. They still could have done the cheating husband story with Sam. If she did the short scene with her and Sam in the motel and stopped the story there, that would have been enough. We'd all know it was "Marion." We certainly didn't need her story about taking the money....and then for it to end with her being on the run! Who cares about her?! So much time was wasted on her story where I would have much rather seen scenes with Norman. Or at least Dylan, Emma, Romero and Caleb!
And I'm not happy that Dylan never found out about Caleb's death. I'm also heartbroken about Norman's fate and the lack of writing on his side of the tombstone!
I know it just seems like I have complaints about the show but in reality, I think Bates Motel is the best show I have ever seen. I grew up watching Psycho so I wasn't real sure if I'd be happy that someone was going to try to create a show about it but the previews of the first season piqued my interest. Plus, I always liked Vera and Freddie, whom I now think their acting abilities far surpass everyone. The only other actress even in their category imo is Jessica Lange. I thought she would have been a good pick had they showed us more about Norma and Caleb's mother!
Hmmm, maybe they can do a show about their childhood.
I miss this show already. I think they could have squeaked out a couple more seasons between 3 & 4
