I can't believe it's not getting more love!

Granted, I've only watched episode 1, but I dont understand why more people arent talking about it. Especially since I found the first 5 minutes of episode 1 so amazing, and was captured by the rest.

An onion can make people cry, but there is no vegetable invented to make them laugh.

I could not disagree more with what you are saying, in fact, I think that both of you are talking out of your backsides. No offence.

So, every character in drame has to follow the pattern of the norm?

The somewhat unworldly character of Harriet was magnificently played by Pippa Haywood, something that the critics I read all agreed upon. You need to get out more I think, or stick with run of the mill drama.

It is interesting to speculate on why it has not been more popular - maybe it is me that is odd, I think it is superb drama, showing a real slice of English life.

I wonder whether rather than obviously making it Sheffield, it would have been better to make it an anonymous city rather like Z cars attempted back in the 1960s with 'Newtown', based on Kirby near Liverpool but representing every new overspill town in Britain be it Harlow, Basildon, Stevenage, Crawley, Newton Aycliffe, Cumbernauld etc., etc.. (Are there any in Northern Ireland - as opposed to newly extended old towns and Cities? - I regret my ignorance - I am somewhat Englandcentric!)
