Bomman and Farha at their best and yet....

The casting was good and Bomman and Farha slipped easily into their roles. Brilliant acting - especially Bomman Irani. And yet what was so very disappointing about this movie was the slapstick theatricals - totally unnecessary and absolutely without any humor. I watched this movie in a theater that was about 75% occupied and there was not even a chuckle during that exaggerated Parsi Community Meeting scene. Yet another unnecessary inclusion was the scene towards the end where Bomman tried to get into Farha's house by climbing the gate and gets hounded by the neighbors and the subsequent police station scene that followed up. Not at all funny! And yes we could have done very well without the song and dance sequences as well. Sad because the negatives overshadowed the positives here.
