Not brilliant, but not the worst I have ever seen

I think some of the posts on here are unfair, especially people saying that people giving it 8 out of 10 are liars! What's that about?! Maybe some people thought it WAS an 8 out of 10; people are entitled to different opinions you know.

I have seen movies I thought were a 4 out of 10, and they have been an 8 on here, and others that I thought were at least an 8, that are a 5.5 on here. Different people like and enjoy different things. I think Lord of the Rings is boring and long winded, and I would give it a 5 out of 10, but I know some people who think the movie is a solid 10 out of 10. Same with the Godfather; I think it's boring and a 4.5 out of 10 imo. Yet, I know someone who thinks it's the best movie ever, and thinks I am 'stupid' and don't know a good movie when I see it, and I have NO idea what constitutes a good movie. LOL, how arrogant.

The gore in this movie (Pernicious) is good, and the general storyline is OK, the writing and acting is average. But I have seen worse! It's good for a late night scare with your buddies, a few beers, and a Chinese takeaway!

The people who are saying it's crap, then admitting they haven't even seen it make me laugh: yeah, great movie critics. 

I effing hate people who write reviews about a movie they have not seen, or a movie they watched 1/3 to 1/2 of and then write a review as though they watched the whole thing, only to get to the very end and mention "I shut this off 30 mins in." To those folks I say THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME with your reviews...
You're right about the wide variety of people's tastes.. There's a few 3.5ish rated movies on here that I love, usually campy horror. I have yet to watch this movie, so I cannot give an opinion on it, but thank you for your honest opinion, a rarity these days.

I thought the movie had its moments, the girls are cute, and I don't mean looks, like when the girl says, "Don't follow the creepy little Asian girl!" and stops to admire the elephant... little natural details are really important to me in a movie like this.
