I know it's a Hulu Plus exclusive, but they could REALLY expose this great show to a whole new group of viewers if they released the season on DVD. It'd also help them get subscriptions to watch a season 2 if/when it comes out. Any word yet on whether they'll release a DVD?
Here's the thing, Meredith. You have a freak flag, you just don't fly it.
I haven't heard anything about a DVD release, but it seems like it would be better for their business model than just relying on commercials for revenue. I doubt they will charge for subscriptions for a second season since they already have a subscription program in Hulu Plus. No one is going to ever watch their original programming if they make you pay for it, while everything else is still free. I really liked the show, maybe even enough to buy it if the second season answers my lingering questions, but I still wouldn't pay Hulu any more than my current $7.99/month fee just to stream the second season.
