Congratulations for the honoring award you brought home!

Romanian cinema, in my most unqualified opinion, it's like a rough, unpolished, but extremely bright and beautiful diamond. It shines so bright that Europe can no longer ignore or pretend we just got lucky a few years back at Cannes. No, we are good, we are passionate and considering we strive with rigid funds and low support, this makes it even more valuable to come back from Berlin with the Big Bear.
I offer my most sincere congratulations and admiration to these great romanian filmmakers! This is a tribute post from one very proud Romanian!

I subscribe.After i have read the synopsis it looks like this movie is going to be a good one,and with a different subject than the others from the Romanian New Wave(Moartea Domnului Lazarescu ,4 3 2 etc.,which deal with the subject of poverty).Although starting slow and with a mundane range of subjects,this new movement in the Romanian cinema has grown in a realistic current that shows all the facets of the Romanian society.I am glad and anxious to see in theaters a movie that won the Golden Berlin Bear! I've seen the other movies of Calin Peter Netzer (Maria and Medalia de Onoare) and they're both beautifully shot and crafted (with a slow opening and development,but strong character development) and i recommend them if you have the chance to see them.I am proud that a couple of romanians (filmmakers and a couple more artists) are keeping our cultural spirit alive!

P.S: It would be wonderful if IMDB actually took the time to upload the prizes in the sections of festivals and awards other than the artistically insignificant and box office-driven Oscar awards...Just a thought.
