What made this emotional for you?

I've read that many left the Tribeca showing in stunned silence, tears still clinging to their faces.

This film was so real. I guess people became emotional because they never saw people struggle like this everyday. Even though this was Havana their are poor people who struggle like this in every city. People hoping for a way out. They will do anything to try to get away.

I think that it captured something that was very unexpected. It's a beautiful detailed work of art that might have been expected if filmed on a foreign location.

The actors are young and just exquisite in their craft. I think it's perfect.

The close and loving relationship between Elio and Lila. Not only was it spoken but it was clear they were all the other had, it was beautiful to behold. The tragedy and the beauty of the every day life in Cuba and the resourcefulness of the Cubans was so greatly depicted. The movie was riveting from start to finish. Most emotional the characters from Raul's HIV positive mom, to Elio and Lila's fractured family, we saw what they had to do to keep it together every day and keep love the love flowing. Wonderful film.

The Tranny was the most emotional part. Good thing he survived the escapade so he can pick up a non-tranny the next time.
