disappointment for fans of the first one

The combat system has improved greatly, but what's the point? The story takes about 2 and a half hours to beat, and after that there's really not much else to do with the game.

The first one was epic, I remember spending several hours a night for about a week before I finally beat it. What sucked about the original was that you don't actually start unlocking some of the better powers until you are more than halfway through with the game. I wish they'd remake the original except with the new combat system and talent system, it'd be the *beep*

I agree. The game was disappointing, unimaginative and underwhelming. Taking three hours and thirteen mins to beat it myself was a huge slap in the face even after paying £10 for it.

The combat system sucks, and the powers like Dark Reach are gone so now you can't even play stealthy like before (which was always more fun and challenging). The first one definitely is the best, and I actually hope they don't make a third game because this one really says they aren't willing to even try HARDER To make a better game than before.

I didn't like the first game at all, except for the story. On the other hand, I thought The Darkness II was pretty awesome all around. It might have been short, but it was an entertaining short. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

"You are tearing me apart, Lisa!"" The Room..a cinematic masterpiece.
