Rose voice

Rose is presented as some kind of celebrity singer and popstar back then but am I the only one to think her singing is exceptionally bad?

Even after they sure mastered and worked it over she really has a "sorry" ugly voice.
It is not at least believable for me that she would be some kind of star with these features. Her last concert they showed in s3 I had to ff because it was that bad and everyone asked me to please mute her.

They should have just took annother womans voice who can sing. I do think she is fine as an actor.

I don't think she's supposed to have a great singing voice. Actually, I don't see her as much of a "star" either. Yes, maybe around Whitechapel but I don't think she's renowned all across the country. I see Rose as more of a B-list talent, not A-list.

Hm maybe you are right. I thought she toured through England and came back I think in s4 being this "star" where people would all recognize her on the streets and even high society would go to her concerts.

I think Rose sings in the style of the day. If you listen to music hall recordings from around that time women sang in really harsh voices.

It was season 3 when Rose returned and yes she did do some traveling around England cause if you remember Drake tells her he almost went to see her cause they were in the same part of town

I don't even think she really ranks as a "b-list" star. At best, I think, she's a popular local talent. Think, maybe the headline star in a popular local nightclub. Locals know her. Maybe she even toured with as a backup singer for someone famous once, so she has stories and/or is seen as famous because of it. But she never really made it herself. Never had the talent or star quality.

I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.
