Iris falling down the hill

PBS trimmed some of that scene. It's been a few months since I saw it, but I think she overheard the "Todhunters" having an argument, and in changing her route to avoid them, became lost. She also met a man and tried asking for directions, but he didn't speak English, and Iris became increasingly frustrated and frightened... The misadventure provided some sense of danger and mystery early in the story, and also contributed to Iris wanting to leave as soon as possible.
