One annoying plothole

This is pretty good with a few funny scenes. But one thing that annoyed me was the first time ever he repeats his day he should be assuming it thr next day so he shouldnt be wearing the suit as the suit is for the interview only. Yet he gets up and immediately wears the suit.
I wish they had refilmed that scene and dud it correctly where he wears normal clothes assuming its the next day.

Thank you! Such a minor detail, but so annoying..

It would be interesting to see how the heck the filmmakers made this mistake. And also why they didn't just reshoot that scene... would've taken a few hours.

This is how: 'He wakes up - wears regular jeans and t shirt. Dad tells him to wear suit. He says why. Dad says interview. He says it was yesterday. Dad asks him if he's drunk and forces him to wear suit. He on the other hand thinks dad is drunk. Wears suit to please dad. goes out and the same day ensues. Would've been accurate plus funnier'. All they would have to do is reshoot the scene where he interacts with his dad

Sigh, all 3 of you are wrong. The first time he repeats the day the original day is like a DREAM to him. He wakes up having felt he is repeating the day but it's a fleeting thought so he gets dressed like its the original day because the rational side of him would never believe a day is repeating itself.

Not a stretch if you used a bit of logic to think about that scene..people.

Life's tough, it's tougher if you're stupid.

What you said.

shystichu, you are wrong.
As soon as he awoke he wore his suit... which means he immediately thought it was a dream. But this is utterly illogical. If you wake up one morning do you automatically think 'oh *beep* my whole day yesterday that I lived was just a dream'. No, you continue the day until something makes you think 'oh wait, i've experienced this before...' So he could have thought it was a dream once he sees things being repeated but not just immediately.

so why not just reshoot that one scene? i think the movie flopped anyways so now no one cares

reply

shystichu is NOT wrong.

The dude thought it was a dream because he didn't just "wake up one morning", he was with the chick, at her house, about to *beep* her, then he woke up.

What's more illogical... thinking that was a dream or assuming you blacked out at the chick's house, somehow got home then woke up in your own bed to your mum acting as if the day before never happened?

Him coming out in those clothes wasn't a mistake, the mistake was that the writing wasn't clear enough for some people to understand, the audience needed to know earlier that he thought it was a dream.

Y'all are way overthinking this movie.

1. Even if you were correct, that's not what a plot hole is.
2. You aren't correct. The first time it repeated he thought he had dreamed it. So of course he put the suit on. It was the day of the interview. You're dumb.

Are you not entertained?!
