Finally cancelled

As much as liked this show, and it being the only sitcom I watch, I'm a little saddened by the cancellation, but I'd rather have this show go out on a mediocre note then having them scrounge up a lame season and end it on a low note. I don't think the writers knew how to give this thing longevity.

Farewell Amber and Reggie.

It's too bad - I'll miss this series, but I can't help but wonder what happened during the last summer hiatus - what was it that made the writing go from clever to...to....whatever it was (for the most part) in Season 2.

It's too bad the bedhind-the-sceners couldn't remember what made it so brilliant just a year earlier.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

The cancellation was not completely surprising. I was hoping for a third season when the second season ended with humans moving into the neighborhood and one of the producers was in the finale scene. I was hoping that was an omen of good things to come. Clearly, it was not to be.

Even though I enjoyed the second season (for the most part), I still feel like the show ran its course. Sure, I would have been happy if it was renewed for a 3rd season but I am glad the show was lucky enough to even get a 2nd season.

The finale wrapped everything up nicely and it was a satisfying end to this quirky little show. ABC gave it time to grow but it never caught on. It will now go down in history as a cult TV show - and I'm fine with that.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

I don't feel it was wrapped up nicely...they set it up perfectly for another season. Sigh, that was a very witty show that was much different then the rest of the trash that's on tv...

sigh what's next?

Not surprised, but still sad. I really liked this show too. ABC didn't lend it a lot of support. ABC focused upon other sitcoms and then moved it to Friday nights. That decision was very telling. Fans had to write to the network just to save it for this past season.

IMHO, ABC just didn't realize what a great show they had on their hands. It's a shame when a network doesn't support a great show like The Neighbors.

I'll miss this show. I already miss it.

ABC never gave the show a chance.

The only reason it got a Season 2 was because they needed a half hour show for their schedule and figured it would be cheaper to renew it than produce another show.

And ABC was been on a war-path, cancelling shows left and right. This show was probably the first one that got axed.

It sucks. I liked the show but it was obvious it was toast.

Season 1 was so funny. I loved every minute, but season 2 the writing was not good at all.
