3rd Season PLEASE!!

Dont know how loud one voice could be, but mine is for bringing this back for a 3rd season

reply

Agreed. It's a Friday show, so how are they really going to improve no matter what they air? I hope they keep it for at least 1 more season.

reply

Agree. We need to keep some good family shows on Friday night.

They made that inside joke at the end about ABC Family.

I think this show would be a perfect fit for that channel. They are a sub-network of ABC and don't have the same standards for ratings. And, last I checked, they have almost no original programming. They just play movies and specials all the time.

Who knows. Never say never. At least The Neighbors had two solid seasons. This season alone, ABC has had so many bombs that got axed immediately:

Lucky 7. Back in the Game. Killer Women. Mind Games. And its a coin toss on whether Super Fun Night or Mixology get cancelled. And Nashville has apparently been given its last rites.

reply

Abc Family has comedies and dramas on their channel lol

reply

ABC Family would be a great place to wind up. The Neighbors is a mix of kid and adult material and its charm wasn't that much in the adult stuff. It's not like ABC Family standards are written for grade school kids (as far as I know). The season ended strongly so here's hoping.

reply

We need to write to ABC, asking for a third season. I plan on doing so right now.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on Contact. Click on ABC Programming Feedback. Select a show (it's still listed, a good sign?), complete the fields, for subject I clicked on I like this show because.....but you could select comment. Wish there had been a Please Renew This Show choice but there isn't one.

Thanks for the hint. I sent an e-mail and got a 'form e-mail' back. Not even promising that it would be read. Oh well.

Never hurts to try. "Twin Peaks" was a totally different genre/era/network-executive-regime. Fans brought back "Jericho" (albeit briefly) and the oft-canceled "Family Guy," and I suspect they might've gotten "The Neighbors" its' second season (since when the 2013-14 season was first announced, the show wasn't on the schedule). Last year fans were sending in loose buttons; this year, I dunno, maybe Gingerbread Men?

That was a great episode and it was clever how they got rid of the alien community, so as not to piss off fans if/when the show returns (like they did this season, which played largely without the rest of the neighbors). Good way to keep production costs down. I said it before and I'll say it again: they've got two seasons under their belts, and since there are few family comedies lasting any amount of time these days and ABC stands to gain on the back-end from reruns, I suspect the show will return for another season despite the poor ratings. Here's hoping, anyway.

I hope you are right Vinnie.

I hope so but Toks Olagundoye is in a new NBC show with Mary Louise Parker this coming fall. I suppose she could do 2 series like Heather Locklear did many times but somehow I doubt it. She's a clear main character on this show so it'd suck without her.

reply

It's not the unusual for an actor in this situation to take a part in another show but the new show is put in 2nd position. The actor is still contractually obligated to continue with the original show if it's renewed. The 2nd position show will have someone in mind to replace him should this happen. This is a great deal for the actor because it means he won't be out of work either way.

reply

Hey Thanks for that info, I had no idea it worked that way but it makes sense!

Count me in. We will be many.

Did not even know of this show, just watched a few YouTubes on this and hope to see more!

Adding my voice--Bring them back for another season! Love this show--it's just hilarious. Different than all the other same-old-same-old!
