i scanned thru the movie, i just couldnt sit there and wait...ending seemed interesting and yet, it was also dumb....kinda had an idea that the protagonist could be the culprit, becoz all movies try to do a twist nowadays, it's like such a cliche formula....but why, why the heck did he do it? i scanned it, so perhaps missed the reasoning.

he was a serial killer, but he had some kinda drug that would make him
temp lose his memory, so he was trying to save his kids, that weren't
really his. he left clues for himself, and gave himself the recall
drug at the end.
I really don't feel like typing the whole movie out.
I scan through movies also, it was on netflix.
this was anything but cliche. you should just watch
it through, it is very good. Think people call movies
crappy without really watching the whole movie.
plus I am kinda tired
of hearing that word, since everything has been
done before, in some form or another.

I like the way it was filmed, lots of first person POV, and
the lighting in those woods before it was dark, like very
orange, very eerie. I would not want to be stuck out there by
myself, lol
But still… In his amnesic state, he's supposed to save his "family", so (SPOILER, though this thread is one) the way he inadvertly muders them makes him the daftest protagonist in movie history !

They were doing everything they could to both stay away and also kill him,
so it wasn't his fault that he inadvertently killed the 2 kids, since they
were working against him while he was working for them simultaneously. This
of course was the whole point of his "self deception", to confuse his prey
while also making it more sporting for him.
Actually, it was kind of stupid. He was calling his son (at this point he thought it was his son) and then hacks the 1st person that comes near. Both are actually stupid. The boy for beckoning to the call, knowing it wasn't really his father. Well, not kinda stupid. It was very stupid.

It's unknown if they also saw their father be killed,
they may have only seen him dragged away or something,
so they think their real dad was out there still.
They must have been so confused as to why this guy who
terrorized them at first, is now playing nicey nice
