This is listed as The Orphanage (2015) .... and no matter what they call it and no matter if they change the lead to a boy or girl which I saw shown online this movie is terrible. Stay away from it. Overacting is one big problem with this movie. While I can appreciate what they were going for here with the script certain actors ruined it. Also this isn't even a bad movie that you can laugh at as it deals with old school mental health treatments .... giving people a lobotomy. I guess the one good thing that can be said about this movie is that it is a reminder that we need to continue to improve health care and not go back to making mistakes that happened in the past. I guess for that I could give it a 2 out of 10. 1 point for an interesting script ..... 2 for reminding people we still have a long way to go in medicine and other things in this world and we still often don't learn from past mistakes. Now at least to my knowledge a lobotomy is no longer a treatment in the civilized world but maybe there are crack pots out there still trying this or similar. Anyway a very tough movie to get through for many reasons. An odd one for sure.
