Amazing production value for just $800.000!

Amazing production value for just $800.000!

It´s an incredible and an unbelievable effort to make such a high value movie produced for mere $800.000. The photography and locations is top notch. The music suits the movie very, very nicely. Slow burning and eerie. The actor´s performances are also good. And the pace is actually quite nice.

Despite that it´s a good plot it´s the unfolding of story itself that´s the problem - which means the screenplay, needed more work. The tension never builds properly. The 2nd act doesn´t develop and raises the tension, but circles again and again without going anywhere. This results in the audience never gets sucked in, but are left dangling instead waiting. Waiting for the big “woosh”, that should setup the third and final act but never arrives. It has also has sub-plots, which are never resolved.

Thrillers are really, really tough to make these days because the audience are extremely quick to figure out the puzzle, and who the bad character is.

I really, really wanted to like this movie. But I´m awestruck by the great, great production value, and I do hope the Danish Producers will get a chance to do another English/American movie. They really deserve it.

An average thriller… but with extremely high production value considering its budget.

Agreed. Beautiful location, scenery, and high quality cameras. You're right - most movies nowadays cost millions (usually $20M +). It was actually very scary, and Estella did a great job acting creeped out. I don't think the other girl is that great of an actress, but Estella did a fantastic job! I know... parts of the movie weren't resolved and I didn't understand some of it, but then I never really totally and fully understand 100% of movies anyway. I'm just glad Estella is making movies again because she's a good actress and model too! There is one movie I heard Estella made a few years ago, but nobody seems to have seen it or when/where it came out, but that movie is called Taphephobia, and I'd really love to see it because I'm a fan of Estella <3
