Better than the average bear? (spoilers)

This Syfy movie seems to be noticeable more violent, in that the deaths look more realistic than in most of the creature features. Danica McKellar is doing a good job, and of course she's also easy on the eyes.

I like the fact that they didn't have a cheesy solution in the cave, like they do in many of these Syfy movies. In a typical Saturday movie, they would have returned to the cave, decoded the magic saying or undercovered the mystical rock and made all the creatures disintegrate, or something like that. But maybe the final scene was a little too easy.

I wish they hadn't killed off Tory (from Battlestar Galactica) and her boyfriend. I thought their characters were interesting enough for a creature horror movie.

While not a great movie, this was watchable. Much better than the usual Syfy Original Movie. The CGI wasn't great, but that's to be expected. It helped that many of the scenes took place at night, so they could obscure the CGI creatures.

I also wish they had given Apolo Ohno more to do then just bleed to death in one scene. Couldn't they have at least kept him around for a couple scenes?

You pretty much summed up how I felt about the movie. It was surprisingly watchable for a Syfy movie and it reminded me of the channel's much earlier original films when some of them weren't as bad as they are these days.

I wasn't really expecting the amount of gore in the film due to the fact that the TV rating for it was TV-PGLV so I was quite surprised.

This and Arachonoquake were enjoyable and fun to watch in my opinon. I know this movie was filmed in Canada, but the locations and the scenery seemed rather pretty in my opinion. As in the forested areas.

I am surprised with how much gore they got away with in this movie for being a prime time flick.

They obviously did NOT get away with the gore in some localities - for example, Mimic 2 got substituted for Tasmanian Devils in the Little Rock, AR area. Tasmanian Devils NEVER got shown in this locale.

I'm in North Little Rock and I watched it Saturday night on Comcast cable.

Might have been DirecTV that made the decision then. Not sure WHO made the decision that it could not be watched at my house (I have DirecTV, everyone else in area had Comcast or antenna TV), just that it was not the show that was supposed to be showing when Tasmanian Devils was supposed to be showing.

All in all not a bad made for tv film. The devils were just awful but the rest of the sfx were decent. Story was ok and characters were good too. Better than some syfy flicks. Good scary moments, not just the make-u-jump scenes. Expect little and it is worth watching.
