ZERO HUMOR

What on EARTH possessed them to make this film without ANY of the wonderful humor in the play.It is excruciating without it. Other cuts also changed the meanings the author intended. To truly enjoy this wonderful work, find the live version of the musical with Bernadette Peters as the witch. You will actually enjoy it.

I have to agree, there were a couple of moments that I think they did replicate quite well and did come across as quite funny, i.e. when The Baker's Wife was really overselling the beans to get Jack to trade the cow, but on the whole the humour was definitely missing.

"Agony" is a funny scene of chemistry.

I laughed several times at the (black) humor throughout the film, like Depp's Wolf having a piece of Riding Hood's red cape hanging from his mouth, lol.
