Another 'writer' that can't write

What is it with this slew of "horror" movies over the past several years where the amateur script writers make the characters as unlikable as possible? If you don't create some form of emotional connection between the viewer and the characters, how is the viewer supposed to care when the characters are in danger or die?

Answer - they don't. You're amateur idiots that just think a horror movie is finding some way to throw blood and entrails around the screen. You're so dimwitted that you completely miss the subtlety of real horror.

Movies like this are sometimes improvised. They probably wanted to get the "party kids" vibe from these people, people who say and do really stupid things in a lame effort to get us connected.

It's hardly any different from horror movies in the past. I for one agree and yearn for characters that are actually funny and likable without having to act like a total douche.

Stuff like this reminds me of "Movie Poop Shoot.com" from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Yeah I always think if they had just decided to make the characters normal people rather than young "let's party bro!" people the movie would instantly be only half as bad.

Sadly hardly any indy film makers with any talent make horror movies, and all you need to convince someone to make a horror movie is some foxy girls and the promise of blood. Neither of which make for compelling movie.
