Same here. I started watching Humans on AMC over here in the US, so I went to check out the Swedish version it is based on. After 4 episodes of the US/UK one and about 6 of the original, I can honestly say the original Swedish version is much better so far. The only thing I like better in the US/UK version is William Hurt's character and the US/UK Anita just a bit more. The original is much darker and adult, it also establishes the backstory of Leo and the free hubots much clearer and quicker. Most importantly, the Swedish family is much more tolerable than the unlikable UK family, especially the mother and daughter. I normally don't do subtitles, but Swedish sees to translate over to English pretty well.

I hope both versions get proper series finales.

There are many characters in the Swedish version which you won't see in the UK remake. I mean how great it Roger? And Odi is so much better in the original. Bea is twice as badass as Niska UK. Prepare for the ultimate bad-ass moment in Season 2 for Bea. Then there's Flash, Kevin, Roger's wife's friend. The religious tolerance, the hatred of hubots in society, the resistance group, should sentient hubots have rights? God, the Swedish version is so much more than a few sex bots running away from the police.

Which is also the problem of the original: there is such a lot going on that it feels like they pushed it too far just to show all of it.
The remake flows a lot better and it commits to one main plot. Maybe it sacrifices more of the surrounding ideas than necessary, but at the same time it does not need so many constructed moments and silly ideas to get things going. Real Humans feels in some scenes more like satire than science fiction, I am not sure how much of that happens on purpose.
