Garret Dillahunt is amazing

I only watched this because of Dillahunt. It sounded turgid and about 10 years late for anything like relevance. But GD, as usual, brought so much depth and intensity to the role it was oddly engaging. Even the aspects of his behavior that clearly were ikcy/creepy seemed understandable, and even a bit sad.

Not a great movie, but a really great performance.

I stumbled onto this movie last night and have to confess that I'm not familiar with this actor but I have to say that I Totally agree.
I found myself a little haunted afterwards by his performance, sad and disturbing at the same time.

Marvelous performance.

He's the reason I gave the movie a chance. Who else could give internet chats the nuance and intensity they deserve?

Maybe John C. McGinley, maybe.

I thought he was great, too, particularly in the scene where Carol confronts him and the truth comes out (well, the truth about everything except for Katie's real identity, that is). His body language and facial expressions were just priceless.

And I actually thought it was a pretty good movie.

He did a great job. He really portrayed a man that was beaten down in life at that scene.

You don't know me.
You only think you do.

he was fantastic. As usual. Totally bought it, and he looked weirdly like the guy in the documentary version.
