Brian is terrible

Aside from Mary's husband and daughter, everyone involved here is despicable. Even Brian. I don't feel sympathy for him. He took part in egging on and purposefully upsetting a clearly unstable person.

There's no justification for his murder, however, a lot of the turmoil of this situation was caused by him agreeing to *beep* with Montgmoery.

Even his motivations for entering into the relationship with "Jessi" were questionable. Based on the pictures, she was "his type", a phrase often repeated. There's no mention of who this person, granted this fabircation of a person, was as a human--what she valued, what her interests were. [his patents mentions she was athletic, on the basketball team, but it came off as him being interested in an athletic build or her keeping trim rather than her as someone who valued health or competition].

This kid is a jerk and willingly partook in antagonizing another person. I don't think that's forgivable. It seems like he is absolved of everything because he lost his life, but I don't think he should be seen as an innocent bystander to this.

There's one throw away line where the narrator says he isn't "proud of the next part", but these lines were created by someone other than Brian. Based on what's shown of his and Jessi's conversations, he seems to not have remorse or regret over being senselessly cruel to someone else, nor does he have qualms about taking interest in another person based on her physicality.

I don't feel bad for him either but do for his family. What should people expect when they screw with someone? Bad things happen.
