You know when Patrick is like "Me and Kelly sorta just happened!".

Bullcrap! Kelly knew that Joe and Pat were best friends, and she flirted with Joe and led him on just because he gives her the opportunity to see Patrick. For example, inviting Joe to the end of school party and then during the party, she flirts with Patrick. Also, when Joe goes to visit Kelly at the golf course,she acts like she is interested in what Joe has to say, but it's obvious she really wants to know how Patrick is doing. Furthermore, when Joe invites her to his house in the woods, she spends all her time there hanging out with Patrick and pretty much ignoring Joe. I'm just annoyed at Kelly for blatantly flirting with Joe (calling him and giving him googly eyes) and then going for his friend. Total manipulation! Even if she truly does care about Joe as a friend, her actions were so selfish.

Don't get me wrong, I get that Patrick shattered the bro code. But it was kinda like you couldn't even blame Patrick because Kelly had it all planned to get from Joe to Patrick....

Just wanted to point all that out. But other than Kelly, I like the movie, really good imagery and music :P

after dinner Joe was off talking to Biaggio and made no effort to sit with Kelly and talk to her. If he was really interested, he missed the best opportunity he had with her.

No. She flirted with both of them, and other boys, regularly. Joe may have thought he had the inside track, and maybe he did for a minute.

But it's really up to the girl, and though they might say they want the smart guy, the sensitive guy, the funny guy, they usually just go with the biggest guy.

You know, just like a guy might say he prefers smart, funny, or interesting girls but given a choice, just picks the one with the biggest tits.

I'm sorry but why do loads of people keep implying that Patrick is less intellegent or less sensitive than Joe simply because of his size? From what we saw of the film Joe was a pissy little brat and Patrick was the one who actually gave a crap about other people. I'd go for Patrick over Joe anyday. Not because of his looks, but because he's not a whiney little asshat.

She definitely played Joe. He wasn't really whiney. He just hadn't fully matured yet and hadn't fully recovered from grieving his mother.

Kelly was divisive and dishonest in her behavior. There's no way she could have thought she wasn't coming between their friendship. She pulled out every flirtatious trick to use him to get to Patrick. It definitely didn't "just happen".

Patrick should have been a better friend because he knew how much Joe liked her and why he invited her.

Right on! She totally pulled a premeditated Yoko on them. But Patrick also should have realised... he could've said no when she came to get some booty with his best friend sleeping next to him.

Anyway totally pissed me off. Movie was great up till then.
