Beards were ridiculous.

They were fake as hell. How many kids did you remember having full 5 o clock shadows in high school, or anything uniform at all at that age? Most dudes can't grow a beard until early 20's or later. Wait - was this a joke by the director that I missed?

I don't think it was a 5 'o clock shadow. I think it was more of a 'they're young, can't grow a full beard yet, so it comes in patches' kind of thing.

reply

Yeah it was hilarious, looked like the main kid glued some type of brown fuzz to his face.

But Seriously Your Opinion Is Wrong

Agreed

I'm 27 and still can't grow one. Even my 22 year old brother can.

reply

Have hope brother. I couldn't grow one until I was 30ish and now have a full one at 34. What worked for me was to shave it once a month, it looked better each time until it finally grew.

I had goatee in middle school

Hey Jacob! Take a bath hippie!

The beards were stupid. At first i thought they drew it in as a joke to make it seem like they were on their way to becoming men but then i started to realize that this film intended for those beards to be real.

Why not let the kids grow out their real facial hairs? They have enough to make it seem like they don't have the resources to shave!

Wait, what? You think those were full 5 o'clock shadows and uniform? Those were the patchiest beards I've ever seen. Those beards looks like the facial hair that 15 year olds get after weeks of not shaving.

I go to a large high school and there is not one boy 15 or 16 that has any beard. There's one 16 year old that has this little ridiculous peach fuzz on the bottom of his chin and it took him four months to grow it! We all laugh at him.
