Ok I get it , no one likes a Nazi or a German (WW2 German that is ) and I appreciate
that people still fear who close we got to losing to Hitler .

My problem is when lies and cliches and revisionism is used constantly ,when the real
people that fought and died in the last Great War become nothing more than cliched
cartoon characters .

I appreciate that Directors are rarely intelligent people or appreciate how much they
they reduce and trivialise reality and historical fact in the pursuit of artistic
licence.

I get it ,we have to suffer films made by cretins now so that egotistical actors
get to play heroes to string sections ,sit facing a nasty snivelling Nazi to get our
blood boiling etc . This is nothing more than Nazi porn and I really don't know
who gets off on his stuff but its abysmal .

Germans protected as much art as they could in WW2 ,it was a serious matter back then.

If anything the US were involved in looting after WW2 ,they also liberated 1500
snivelling Nazis and moved them to the US .They also used an SS War criminal to
contain any socialism that grew after WW2 .

The US soldiers also refused to fight side by side with black soldiers ,the Germans
however did not . There was not the same racial ignorance in Europe as there was in
the US . The US should be embarrassed of this but they will simply rewrite it with
rubbish films like this .

All I can say to this is -- If anyone wants to make broad generalizations about the stupidity of a group, and their egos, make damn sure your post is flawless or you look like an idiot.

It's riddled with spelling mistakes and bad punctuation, but his point is fair. I would venture to say that it is right on the money, in fact. This movie should be disgusting to anyone who has at the very least glanced at a history book, and vomit-inducing to the ones who have read one.

Protecting it by stealing it for Nazi leader's private collections. The Germans were the agressors who ransacked their foes countries. But in your little mind that is protecting it. Only good Nazi is a dead one.

From a newspaper report dated 13 December 2013: Police broke into the flat of Cornelius Gurlitt, the son of a Nazi art dealer who hoarded hundreds of works believed to have been looted by the Third Reich. Gurlitt has been the focus of huge media attention after a trove of over 1,400 previously unknown masterpieces were uncovered in his München flat. A task force appointed to research the origin of the art has said that around 590 pictures fall into the category of art looted or extorted by the Nazis from Jewish collectors. These include pieces by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Edvard Munch, Paul Cézanne and others.

Doesn't seem the Germans were saving anything for History EXCEPT for their own singular benefit

We didn't steal the "Sniveling Nazis"--- we gave them a choice between staying and being prosected JUST for doing their jobs Or come to the US

I don't recall the Germans fighting side by side with any Black folks

During WW2 the US Army was segregated ---- "Separate but equal", was the law of the land { Get the F over it},,, After the war, 1948 I believe Truman DEsegerated the Army
