What are the odds that BOTH sets of parents had to be cut off?

It was really sad to see that Kroy was so close to where his family lived, but he wouldn't visit them. Now, I realize that there are extreme instances where family members are toxic and need to be cut off, but what are the odds that both sets of Kim and Kroy's parents fit into this category? I think it's far more likely that Kroy's parents were shocked by Kim's wine-drinking, cussing, vulgar, chain-smoking, spend-thrift, behavior when they came for the wedding; and tried to talk some sense into him before he married her. What parent in their right mind wouldn't have done the same thing? Just because they were initially wary doesn't mean that they need to be cut off. Boundaries could be put in place, instead. Once they were married, he could tell his parents that he made his decision and wants to have a relationship with them, but he won't tolerate any further negative comments about his choice of a wife. Let me tell you, it would be darn difficult for a grandparent to hold their tongue when KJ was a toddler and some of the first words out of his mouth were swear words. I'm sure they wanted to say a big "I told you so" to Kroy, but it seemed they were already cut off by that time. Didn't they get any warnings? Sometimes, dealing with in-laws is a work in progress. After 25 years of marriage, I think my in-laws are finally realizing I'm here to stay. They treated me pretty terribly at times, but I never once considered telling my husband to get rid of them. Even when he was upset with them and said he didn't care if he ever saw them again, I encouraged him to stay in contact.

The only toxic person is her...she is a really horrid person and why he puts up with her, I have no idea.

No I don't watch the show...when she threw her mother out of the wedding, I knew she was a monster.
