Looking forward to this!

The original is a favorite of mine from my childhood. I always loved the moodiness and the cool music. Not a great movie, but one that is very entertaining if you just run with it.
My hope is the remake is somewhat close to the original. It's not a very large target. Let's hope the writer and director can just make it fun.
I reject your reality and substitute one of my own.

I'm also looking forward to this. I have always liked the original.

Will this air on SyFy?

Has it been released yet? This is the first time I've heard of it.

Kelli Maroney talks about it on her facebook page once in a while. I think it played a few genre film festivals worldwide and was sold to Syfy.

Just watched this film. It's a lot of good-natured fun. The 50's period was evoked with affection and the cast have a ball with their roles. The CGI monster was pretty cool, too.

This movie was really a surprise. I thought it was going to be tacky but it is actually quite enjoyable and fun.

It has some great, likeable characters (Sheriff Parker and Deputy Wilma Powers are my favourites), an actual soundtrack using well-known music from the 1950s and 1960s, great use of settings and old 1950's cars, and a good script with an enjoyable story. The CGI effects were quite good, even in slow-motion.

It is not a movie that is supposed to be serious. It is just a fun, enjoyable movie and I could watch again and again.

I think I would also have to agree that this remake is actually better than the original movie.
