Why do they have the full song on the soundtrack but they only play the intro in the movie?

notice how the movie is only 90 minutes long and a typical metallica concert runs for over 2 hours? there are other songs they played in the live concert that didnt make it to the final movie. just recently they released a video of fade to black from this concert on their facebook page

Yeah, but the only thing is, they started playing Wherever I May Roam, they played the intro then went straight into another song.
