I thought this was retarded. Watch the trailer and you think you're gonna watch a movie. But no, you get about 1 hr 5 mins of Metallica playing live with maybe 20 mins of a "story" thrown in between every 2 or 3 songs.
Its basically DTV concert video with a 15-20 minute story thrown in.

It's a mess. The way they keep cutting from the movie to the concert, you don't get good concert footage, you don't get a good movie.

I like Metallica and I thought this was pretty crappy. I expected more movie less concert.
I kind of hated this. I did not really need to see Metallica play in theaters when I have seen them live plenty of times.
This was a wasted opportunity. Also it is kind of pathetic and hilarious how the producer lady was saying how this was her most expected movie she ever worked on, and now the director and the band were talking about the acting and the story.... what story? wtf are they talking about?
